Play “Small Ball”

Winter is still in control, with very cold temperatures these past few weeks. Despite the snow and ice, we also see our days become longer and see the darkness slowly giving way to the light. We know that this incremental change will eventually yield spring and then summer. We can learn from mother nature’s gradual but persistent efforts. Many of us have made internal promises to modify behaviors and create new and healthy or productive habits. Measure your efforts and sustain the changes you have planned. Make small, incremental changes. Just like in the movie, “Moneyball,” long term success comes from just getting on base. Home runs are nice but you can’t count on them. Focus on making small gains and keep it up.
