Debrief Your Day

Debrief your day. At the end of each day, ask yourself three questions: “What went well”? “What could have gone better”? And, “What could I learn from this”? This short conversation will keep you curious and celebrating the wins and viewing the challenges and failures as opportunities for improvement. If one of your challenges is overcommitment and lack of focus, try doing this each half day; at the end of your morning and the end of your afternoon. Each day is a gift of experience and information. Using a daily debrief will help you develop habits that will allow you to better leverage these gifts.
